From Suite for Wedding
The First Wedding March was written as part of the Suite for Wedding which was composed especially for Louise and my Wedding. The whole suite consists of the following:
- Veni Creator Spiritus for Organ - to be played before the service
- Wedding March I
- Introit for Choir & Organ
- Veni Creator Spiritus for Choir - to be played during the signing of the register.
All of the pieces are connected by an idee fixe which is first announced in the 4th and 5th bars bars of the march. The chord on beat two of bar 5 also links all the pieces together.
The Wedding March was completed on 12th of April 2004.

The recording was taken from a concert at St. Mary's (October 2004) when Malcolm Stowell premiered both wedding marches in their concert version.
