Oboe Sonatina
For Hannah Lewin

The Oboe Sonatina that I am currently working on is written for a former pupil of mine, Hannah Lewin who has just taken her Grade 8.

Work started on the finale on the 30th May with the first draft begin completed on the 14th of June. The recording is of this first draft.

I am currently having the movement checked over before publishing it in a final version.

The movement is a rondo and the rest of the sonatina will be as follows:

1) Loose Sonata form (Fast)
2) A palindrome (as with Hannah's name) - half way through the rest of the piece will be the first part backwards (Slow).
