My Immortal

'My Immortal' was the highly successful 3rd single from Evanescence's debut album Fallen. The song was written by Evanescence's former guitarist, Ben Moody, with Amy Lee adding the bridge. Like all songs written by Moody, the lyrics are based on a short story he wrote. The song proved to be highly successful and reached number 7 on both sides of the pond.

My first arrangement of the song was completed on the 14th March 2004. This arrangement was for SSA and piano and was made for The Furze Platt Senior School's Chamber Choir. I revamped the arrangement in June 2005 (completed on the 15th) for SATB and piano, this time for Voices Anon.
