Lean on Me Bill Withers
It was not until he was 33 that Bill Withers overcame a bad stutter and went on to become a singer-songwriter with several gold records. Bill recalled:"In the early days none of us were really making much money, and we came to depend on each other for favours. From this sentiment he came up with a 1972 R&B classic: Lean on me. This arrangement of Lean on Me was completed for Voices Anon and The Furze Platt Senior School Chamber Choir. The first verse is sung by Sopranos and Tenors only with the Bases and Alto joining on the second. The third verse is scored for the complete choir before the break in which the altos sing the melody and the rest of the choir sing the responses. The final chorus and ending are set for full choir. Owing to copyright restrictions, this arrangement is not for sale and was intended for educational, non-profit purposes. Recent
