Holloway Evensong Service

The two pieces that make up the Holloway Service were written for my Mmus in Composition at Royal Holloway University of London. The pieces were written between 12/2/07-31/3/07 at the same time as working on the African TV pieces.

The setting of the Nunc Dimittis was completed on the 3/3/07, the same day that the setting of the Magnificat was started.

Both the Nunc Dimittis & Magnificat are set for Soprano, Counter Tenor (Alto), Tenor, and Bass and were written with soloists in mind rather than a full choir. The 'Glory be..' employs the same music for both sections as is traditional.

-(4/07) Royal Holloway, Egham, UK. Performed in a workshop by students.
