Promenade from Pictures

Mussorgsky

Mussorgsky wrote his 'Pictures at an Exhibition in 1874 as a set of piano pieces describing the pictures of the late painter Vicotr A. Hartmann. The piano version has subsequently been made it to an orchestral work by many composers (the most famous being Ravel). This version is for a small ensemble, written in March 2001. It was also first performed in March 2001.
